s...h...AKESPEARE!! Shakespeare!! Also: Go Beavs and the romance of hats

Soooo...we liked Seattle and Portland a lot. Big surprise. Saw X-men 1st class on bainbridge island. It was awesome and James Macavoy was super cute. Nothin new here except that............PORTLAND MOVIE THEATRES SERVE YOU BEER. we saw 'the trip' at cinema 21 after dinner at my new favorite restaurant ever, portland's screen door
Doug had the beef brisket and a Rhett butler and there were hush puppies, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, cornbread, sweet tea, summer squash and fried chicken abound.
The Portland art museum was amazing!

This is augie. He is from Bainbridge island. He can't breathe. We miss him a lot.

Wild scenes from a hunters life OR 100 miles to breakfast

Currently driving from Lolo national forest about an hour outside of missoula to Seattle! We'll be staying on bainbridge island with my friend wes and trying to catch some theatre while we're there. Here is a peek at the view from our campsite last night in the national forest!

we stayed in yellowstone the night before. So many bison!

GRAND PRISMATIC SPRING

Missoula and Bozeman were great although Missoula us probably more exciting during the school year. Found some amazing antique books at a bookstore in bozeman. Across the street from yesterday's "lunch-pilgrimage" (burger bob's).

I think Montana is the most beautiful place I've ever been in my life it's a perfect combination of what calls a "twin peaks-y" northwestern feel with the western rugged-ness that I loved in Wyoming.

We're making our way to a delicious-sounding breakfast place in Coeur d'Alene Idaho called Java on Sherman. 100 miles to breakfast!

We love you Montana. H.A.G.S...DON'T EVAH CHANGE, Rock and/or Roll 4 Ever.

Green Frozen Drinks, Polish Book Covers, Fairy Armadillos and Back to the Future OR Just a Weekend in D.C

DISAPPROVE.

wwwwhhhhhhhHHHIIIIRRRRR.....

DECISIONS WERE MADE.

To be fair, our frozen tequila sunsets were going to be a gross orangey-brown if I had not swooped in with the green food coloring. I HAD TO MAKE A CALL.

Oh hey illustration nerds, here is a lil book. I don't know, you might like it, kinda. It's only... ABOOKONFUCKINGAWESOMEFUCKINGPOLISHBOOKCOVERS http://www.1000okladek.pl/?lang=en

Gorgeous Steinbeck covers. Also, illustrators in Poland are all like 'visual narrative? screw THAT."
Do note be affrighted! This is how things go down in Poland! That brontosaurus is like 'I can totally take that T-Rex NO PROBS. Look at his arms. And I bet he sucks at eating leaves, I'm just gonna show off my long-ass neck so he knows I mean business and ARGHHHH...*gurgle* *gurgle*'

AND NOW.....THE AMAZING PINK FAIRY ARMADILLO AT THE MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY!

Sooooo, I'm pretty much the greatest animal ever. - Zaychairiah, legendary leader of the Pink Fairy Armadillo's military division.

a sketch from the zoo. very fast.

' Yes Aiden, these all used to be alive...'

nom nom nom nom nom...etc.
where do we go from here? ON WARD! UP WARD! NEW YORK-WARD!!

oh, and this is who we're staying with in New York, former baby-model for ads for New Jersey Mallz, adz for over-sized baby hats unfit baby-wear and ads for all baby-collection truck companies in the tri-county area, Jenny!

And now I leave you with an album and a live version of the greatest song ever. Or certainly the greatest carnival-related song ever.

So, a few days in NYC and then a few days in Providence/Swansea and then the ROADTRIP BEGINZ!

prepare yourself.
